CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS

Full psychological assessment and treatment of children and adolescents for a range of difficulties including low self esteem, separation anxiety, anxiety disorders, phobias, childhood trauma and PTSD, depression, anger and behavioural problems, toileting difficulties, emotional difficulties arising from attachment problems, and mental health problems related to physical and health conditions. Treatment is based on cognitive behavioural therapy approaches.

ADULTS

Maria carries out assessments and treatment of mental health difficulties including generalised anxiety, health anxiety (hypochondriasis), social anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, depression, sleep problems, PTSD, phobias, psychosis, schizophrenia, low self esteem, sexual disorders and mental health problems related to health conditions. Maria is also trained in pregnancy specific cognitive behavioural therapy for pregnancy related anxiety and tokophobia, perinatal and postnatal anxiety and depression, pregnancy and birth related PTSD and peri/postnatal psychosis.

SPECIALISED ASSESSMENTS

Maria also carries out specialised mental health assessments including psychometric testing for a range of conditions and professional bodies including: cognitive assessments (for the diagnosis of neurodegenerative problems like autism or developmental delay), assessments for court, police, prison settings, insurance claims following accidents or traumatic events, parole proceedings and social welfare, amongst others.
